Bar closing time could come earlier |
| MB City Council might pass law requiring bars to close at 2 a.m. |

Will council close bars earlier
If local lawmakers have their way, "last call!" will come a little earlier.
Along with enacting a new helmet law, loitering regulation and mandatory curfew for youth under 18 years of age, the City of Myrtle Beach also wants to close all bars at 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
While most bars stop serving liquor at 2 a.m., there are many that stay open and serve after hour beers. Business will obviously be affected by the new ordinance if it is passed.
The new law ultimately targets bike week participants and the high number of riders it brings. Though locals will obviously have to deal with the new closing time.
So what do you think? Is the two-time per year rally really worth changing hours of operation?
Let us know!
