The Family Kingdom amusement park on S. Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach boasts the Grand Strand's only oceanfront water park. At the top of most slides at the water park, you can peer at the horizon atop the Atlantic Ocean.
Family Kingdom features optional payments. Guests can choose to pay per ride or to purchase an all day ride pass for $22.75. The pass allows access to all of the park's five "thrill rides," 12 "family rides," 14 "kiddie rides" or test their speed on two go-cart tracks.
The water park features 100 ft. speed slides, a 425 ft. lazy river and other inflatable tube rides. There are eight kiddie slides. Given the extreme heat in the area, the water park might be very popular over the next few days.
