To the biggest crowd of the summer, the transcendent reggae group Passafire put on a show worthy of a frolick.
In true form, after the band finished what was thought to be their last song, they returned to the backyard stage at The Boathouse and got the crowd jumping in unison. It was once again beautiful, set to the backdrop of two dozen or so boats docked near the wooden dock on the Intercoastal Waterway.

If you weren’t there, we’d hate to think what you were doing instead of sitting by the waterside with a cold beverage, listening to pros of the reggae game on a lazy Sunday afternoon. And what a venue it was.
Fresh from hosting the Carolina Wake Series wakeboarding tour stop the day before, the backyard at the Boathouse was packed with lawn chairs and barefooted guests unwinding after a long weekend.
Passafire made it all the better. The band is no stranger to the Grand Strand, recently playing four nights at Hard Rock Park and opening for Matisyahu at The House of Blues.
Their next stop is in Virginia with Pepper, but according to the band members, they’ll be back in Myrtle Beach in no time.
