Quick action douses fire

Quick action by employees and the Myrtle Beach Fire Department cooled off a situation that could have been catastrophic.

A warehouse fire on Seaboard Street in Myrtle Beach was contained before becoming a major blaze. The fire started in a warehouse containing furniture and other household items, fire officials said. The warehouse is located behind a paint store.

At least four engines and other support personnel quickly responded to the call. Within a short time, firefighters were removing the smoke and potential flareup hazards from the warehouse.
