Sad news for barbecue lovers.
Big D’s Bar-B-Que Barn in Myrtle Beach SC was damaged from an overnight fire on November 18.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at the popular BBQ joint on George Bishop Parkway near Hwy 501.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
In other restaurant news, Carolina Ale House is planning to open a location in Myrtle Beach.
Plans have been submitted to city officials for the restaurant to be built on the former Planet Hollywood site at US 17 Bypass and 29th Avenue North, across from Broadway at the Beach.
The popular eatery is headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., and typically includes a game area with pool tables, video games, and foosball tables. Dinner fare includes wings, burgers, steaks and pizza.
The ale house is operated by LM Restaurants Inc., which operates 25 of the restaurants that feature craft beer stores.
