6 events to finish 2017, and kick off 2018

There’s still some time for yuletide for those die-hard Christmas fans.

The Conway Celebration of Lights runs through Dec. 31 on Marina Drive in Conway. The driving light show starts at 5:30 p.m. and is about 1 mile long and features thousands of lights and unique displays.

And don’t forget the Great Christmas Light Show in North Myrtle Beach, which also runs through Dec. 31. It is at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex, 150 Citizens Circle, North Myrtle Beach. It runs from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Visitors will experience 20 enchanting animated figures and holiday scenes where the lights will come to life.

We have plenty of events happening throughout the Grand Strand on New Year’s Eve. Here are a couple to head to:

Dick’s Last Resort’s annual Semi-Famous New Year’s Pre-Party starts with happy hour from 4-8 p.m. at its Barefoot Landing location, 4700 U.S. 17 South, North Myrtle Beach.

New Year’s Eve at Brookgreen Gardens, 1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet, will occur from 6-9 p.m.

Thousands of hand-lit candles, holiday lights, and music are still available. Advanced tickets are required. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Light refreshments are available for purchase.

Then swing over to Dave & Buster’s, who had the \hottest opening of the summer. This New Year’s Eve at the Broadway at the Beach location (21st-29th avenues North on U.S. 17 Bypass) will occur from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Then, enjoy a New Year’s Day Brunch at Ocean Creek from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 1 at Four Seasons Restaurant at Ocean Creek, 10600 N. Kings Hwy., Myrtle Beach.

The menu includes sliced pork loin, collard greens, black-eyed peas, steamed rice, fried chicken, stewed apples, an omelet station, waffle station and more.
