"Aqua Park" coming to Shark Wake Park at North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex

Summer is coming.

The city of North Myrtle Beach announced Tuesday, February 21 on their Facebook page that an all-new “Aqua Park” will be making its way to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports complex.

On February 20, City Council approved a Resolution authorizing the addition of the park amenity to “Shark Wake Park”, located on the freshwater lake at the Sports Complex.

The city leases a portion of the lake to Apex Wake Park, LLC (Apex), who will add the new attraction.

The Aqua Park is described as an “enormous floating playground or obstacle course” that will be situated on a portion of the lake, featuring a series of inflatable slides, runways, jumping pillows, and bouncers, all connected together. It also offers swings, ramps, ladders, trampolines, slides, wiggle bridges, and more. There are a great variety of different shapes, sizes, and functions, which add to the excitement.

Details on pricing, hours, etc. will be released when they are made available.
