Alabama Theatre guest concerts include Turner homecoming this Friday

The Alabama Theatre, at Barefoot Landing, on U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach, has a guest concert almost every weekend through August, all at 7 p.m.:

  • Josh Turner, native of Hannah, midway between Conway and Sumter – and baritone known for such country hits as “Long Black Train,” “Time Is Love,” and most recently, “Hometown Girl,” from his new “Deep South” CD – July 14, for $47.95 or $56.95.

Benefit rodeo at RH Acres; Chevelle among HOB concerts

  • “Myrtle Beach Stampede Rodeo” – benefiting Socastee Heritage Foundation (socasteehf.com) and 4-H programs, and with Cowboy Kenny’s Steel Radio for intermission entertainment – 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, July 14-15 (gates open 6 p.m.) at RH Acres, 3833 S.C. 707, Socastee – near entrance to Socastee Automotive, less than a mile west from U.S. 17.
