‘Mustang Week’ revs up with meet-and-greet

The annual “Mustang Week” opens, with events daily from Tuesday through Saturday, with events at various sites, including a meet-and greet on Tuesday, and later this week, outside the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, at Oak Street and 21st Avenue North, with a car show Friday with judging 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and cruise-in, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.

Legends in Concert starts fall roster of tribute artists

A fall lineup of tribute artists opens Tuesday, going through Oct. 30: Elvis Presley, portrayed by Ryan Pelton, with Garth Brooks (Dean Simmons), Barbra Streisand (Sharon Owens), Jerry Lee Lewis (Lance Lipinsky), and the Four Tops (Vintage – Charles McCaleb, Andre King, Keith Blake and Lawrence Maurice). Richard Marx opens college concert series

A 2017-18 performing art series opens with Richard Marx, at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Other concerts, all at 7 p.m. are: Rumours’ Fleetwood Mac tribute on Oct. 21, The Coasters Nov. 18, Christmas with Restless Heart Dec. 9, Yesterday Beatles tribute Jan. 26, DSB’s Journey tribute Feb. 9, “The Heart Behind the Music” Songwriter’s Showcase March 10, and the “Million Dollar Quartet” musical March 30. Sea turtle time starts ‘1st Thursday’ series for fall
