Myrtle Beach Film Institute casts for five local films to debut in April

The Myrtle Beach Film Institute will have a casting call for five short films that will premiere April 16 and kick off the 13th annual Myrtle Beach International Film Festival (myrtlebeachfilmfestival.com) for six days at the Grand 14 Cinema.

Individuals ages 13 and older are invited to Stage Left Theatre Company, 3064 DeVille Street, Myrtle Beach, in The Market Common, near the Grand 14, 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. A short trailer at https://youtu.be/IxSXHFh3vV4 sums up the process.

The acting roles are not paid, but no fee is charged to audition and take part in this film school. The five films, which all will be made locally, also wll play during the 2018 “Movies Under the Stars” outdoor series next summer in Myrtle Beach’s Valor Memorial Garden.
