A visit to Myrtle Beach SC with your family does not have to break the bank.
There are several things you can do with your kids that are free or cheap during the summer months that will help you stretch your vacation budget.
As a local, I’m always looking for free or inexpensive things to with my daughter. So, today I’m sharing some of those things with you.
Yes, I know, this is obvious. However, I don’t want to leave it off the list. If you are not staying within walking distance of the beach, you can still access the beach for free. There are several beach access locations along the Grand Strand. For a map of locations click here.
To keep the kids entertained on the beach, try out beach games such as bocce ball or paddleball. Click here for instructions on how to play and for more beach day fun ideas.
Every night during the summer, you can enjoy free entertainment on the Boardwalk as part of Ocean Boulevard’s Hot Summer Nights. On Mondays, take your family to the free Kidz Carnival in Plyler Park (next to the SkyWheel). Kids will enjoy inflatables, face painting, games, live music and more. The carnival is from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. every Monday through August 24. For details and a full schedule of events on the Boardwalk, click here.
