Report: 2017 Memorial Day hotel prices in Myrtle Beach up 9 percent compared to 2016

Analysis by HotelsCombined, one of the world’s leading hotel price comparison platforms, found that on average hotel prices in Myrtle Beach for Memorial Day weekend have risen by 9 percent compared to 2016 with rooms costing $235 on average per night compared to $214 last year.

The company has been analyzing hot spots and hotel prices across the country for Memorial Day weekend.

Given that hotel prices drop by 26 percent next weekend (June 2nd – 4th), travelers who haven’t made any formal plans yet might want to consider staying put on Memorial Day weekend and instead travel to Myrtle Beach the following weekend, HotelsCombined recommended. By doing this travelers will save an average of $61 per night on accommodation with a hotel room costing an average of $174 per night on the first weekend of summer.
