Richard Marx to open concert series at Brunswick Community College

Richard Marx, who sang background vocals on recordings by such superstars as Lionel Richie, Chicago, and the late Whitney Houston, before starting his own pop hit parade in the late 1980s, will open Brunswick Community College’s 2017-18 Performing Art Series at 7 p.m. Sept. 6, on campus at Odell Williamson Auditorium, off U.S. 17 in Supply, N.C. Brunswick Community College opens its 2017-18 Performing Art Series with Richard Marx, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, on campus at Odell Williamson Auditorium, off U.S. 17 in Supply, N.C. Tickets are $45 for adults, and $40 for seniors and students.

Other series concerts, all at 7 p.m. are: Rumours’ Fleetwood Mac tribute on Oct. 21, The Coasters Nov. 18, Christmas with Restless Heart Dec. 9, Yesterday Beatles tribute Jan. 26, DSB’s Journey tribute Feb. 9, “The Heart Behind the Music” Songwriter’s Showcase March 10, and the “Million Dollar Quartet” musical March 30.

Season tickets are available, and individual tickets for the rest of the shows go on sale Sept. 19.
