ROAD TRIP: The Temptations, Four Tops to perform in Wilmington this winter

Cape Fear Community College is pleased to announce that legendary artists the Temptations and the Four Tops will perform at the Wilson Center on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

For more than 50 years, the Temptations have prospered, propelling popular music with a series of smash hits and sold-out performances throughout the world.

Their hits include: “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” “My Girl,” “Since I Lost My Baby,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “I Wish It Would Rain” and much more.

The current lineup consists of Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Larry Braggs, and Willie Greene, Jr.

The Four Tops, originally known as the Four Aims, made their first single for Chess in 1956, and spent seven years on the road and in nightclubs, singing pop, blues, Broadway, but mostly jazz—four-part harmony jazz.

Several of their hits include: “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” “It’s The Same Old Song,” and “Reach Out I’ll Be There.”

In 1990, with 24 Top 40 pop hits to their credit, the Four Tops were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
