The Coaster, Clyde McPhatter's Drifter, and The Crystals to perform at the Alabama Theatre

The Coasters, Clyde McPhatter’s Drifters, and The Crystals are set to perform at the Alabama Theatre on October 1st at 7:00 p.m.

The Coasters are an American rhythm and blues/rock and roll vocal group. They had a string of hits in the late 1950s thanks to their important role in the doo-wop legacy. Some popular songs include “Yakety Yak,” “Searchin,” “Charlie Brown,” and “Young Blood.”

You won’t want to miss some of the Original Drifters hits such as “This Magic Moment,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “Up on the Roof,” “On Broadway,” and “Save the Last Dance for Me.”

You’ll recognize some of The Crystals songs such as “Uptown,” “There’s No Other (Like my Baby),” “He’s Sure the Boy I Love,” “He’s a Rebel,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” and “Then He Kissed Me.” The Crystals also have two of the top 50 most popular records in the Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame.

The groups are performing as part of the Alabama Theatre’s Guest Artist Concert Series which showcases top-selling artists such as Josh Turner, Martina McBride, Loretta Lynn, The Temptation, Four Tops, and many more.
