Just a few stores down from the square, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen is settling in, another brand new building to spruce up Broadway. Two floors of this famous southern name now stand where Carlos’n Charlie’s once was, closer every day to completion.

Plans submitted for new Paula Deen restaurant

With 14 cookbooks published, multiple television shows, and ownership over a number of restaurants, Paula Deen has devoted her life to Southern cooking. Breakfast through dinner will be served in a Southern way, with a spread of multiple dishes for the table. For instance, lunchtime guests can choose two down home dishes and four sides for the whole table, and each person receives dessert afterwards.

Pigeon Forge, Tenn., houses the first Family Kitchen, which will turn two years old this April. Just like the original, the massive complex will not only host the restaurant, but a store as well, filled with all of her favorite kitchen gadgets and décor. Paula Deen and her team are hoping to have another spring opening for the new Broadway location.
