The Society of Stranders are celebrating the end of summer and welcoming fall by hosting their annual Fall Migration in North Myrtle Beach SC!
From September 18 until the 27th, shaggers will be showing off their moves at SOS lounges and in the streets.
Shaggers will migrate from party to party at Fat Harold’s, Ducks, Duck’s II, the OD Arcade and the Pirate’s Cove.
On Fun Sunday and Fun Monday, shaggers will take the parties out of the lounges and into the streets. The parties will include live music, vendors, food and drink.
Even if you have never shagged, you can take part in the fun. You can enjoy the music, watch the shaggers and even take lessons!
If you are not familiar with the shag dance, it has been the official dance of South Carolina since 1984. The Shag originated in Myrtle Beach in the 1940s. The dance is primarily done to beach music.
