The Fourth of July holiday is just around the corner, and with this celebration of American Independence comes one of the most popular weeks of the year for visiting the Myrtle Beach area.
Sure, that means you’re liable to find packed beaches, crowded restaurants and traffic jams on U.S. 17, but it also means some of the best and most exciting Myrtle Beach events of the summer are happening around town.
There are plenty of unique ways to celebrate the Fourth here on the Grand Strand including awesome annual events like the Murrells Inlet Boat Parade, Salute From The Shore, Independence Day 8K and Independence Day Music Blast.
There’s also tons of great fireworks displays to be found at places like Broadway at the Beach and Second Avenue Pier or you can just walk down to the beach and watch the rockets shoot toward the sky from Little River to Pawleys Island.
And if you’re looking for things to do in Myrtle Beach beyond just holiday fun, you can also partake in lots of great live music events or even enjoy some zany competitions like a hotdog eating contest or Cupcake Eating Competition.
